All women living in the city of Abu Dhabi will be provided with a free crypto domain.

Abu Dhabi and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) partnered with web3 identity platform and NFT domain name provider Unstoppable Domains to offer free crypto domains to all women who live in the UAE capital, according to a news release.

The initiative seeks to educate and encourage more women to get involved in web3 in Abu Dhabi. This is significant because 50% of the small to medium-sized enterprises in the area are owned by women.

Abu Dhabi is launching a scheme that gives UAE women their own unique digital identity and web address, allowing them to control their data on the internet. This will give them better privacy and security.

Abu Dhabi is aiming to get more women involved in web3 communities, as the emirate looks to become a leading crypto hub in the Middle East.

Binance received in-principle approval for UAE operations as a broker-dealer in digital assets back in April, and also that month Kraken was granted a license to operate a regulated platform.
