zkApes was launched on Sep. 1st, 2022. The project has released a roadmap, deployed the first NFT contract on zkSync Era mainnet, launched the first NFT browser and NFT DEX, and launched the zkApes token ($ZAT) with over 200,000 on-chain holders. It is also conducting the biggest airdrop on zkSync for zkSync users.

The future of Apeverse is designed to be governed by the DAO community, leveraging the zkApes token for community-driven governance.
