Users can lend assets and earn yield rewards or borrow assets using an over-collateralized loan process. The protocol employs vTokens, which represent deposited collateral, to mint a synthetic stablecoin pegged at $1.00 called $VAI. Governance is integral to the protocol, with the native token $XVS serving as the governance token. Holders of $XVS can vote on initiatives and parameters. The Venus Protocol has the first mover advantage on BNB Chain and provides low fees and fast transfers, making it attractive to under-capitalized users.
