Key Features

• Proof-of-Work Mechanism: Transactions must include a proof-of-work calculation derived from a recent block, ensuring the transaction was created recently. This prevents public keys from submitting large volumes of transactions and slowing down the network.
• Spam Protection: The Vega Wallet enforces minimum and maximum transaction limits to prevent transaction spam. Incorrect or missing proof-of-work calculations lead to transaction rejection, and repeat offenders are temporarily banned.

Network Structure

• Mainnet and Testnet: The Vega project team manages a testnet network, Fairground, which allows for trading. Independent validators also run their own testnet networks in addition to the mainnet network.

Additional Tools

• Vega Capsule: Allows creating a local instance of the Vega network on a computer for experimentation and development.
• Spam Statistics API: Provides a query functionality for public keys' spam count, helping wallet developers prevent accidental spamming.
