Introduction

The bZx Vesting Token is an ERC20 token that is a part of the bZx lending protocol. It represents a share in a vested contract for the underlying BZRX token.

Token Characteristics

Each VBZRX token is fungible and uniform, and the underlying BZRX within the contract can be staked. There are limits to the number of VBZRX tokens that can be staked at any given time, as set by the staking contract. The tokens have a total supply of 889,389,933 VBZRX.

Token Functionality

The VBZRX token allows participation in fee sharing. However, the fees do not vest until the token vests. Additionally, the staked BZRX from inside the vesting contract has only half the voting power of a typical BZRX token.

Token Vesting

The vesting mechanism allows VBZRX tokens to be vested over a set period. This means that recipients do not immediately receive the tokens but instead have them vested based on predefined terms. The vesting contract allows for the setting of a cliff, which temporarily restricts access to the vested tokens.
