The Vara Network is a Web3.0 dApp platform built on Substrate that is fast, scalable, and easy to use. It is built upon three core concepts - the Actor Model, Persistent Memory and WebAssembly-based virtual machines. The project was originally created in 2021 by Nikolay Volf. It raised $12 million in the seed round from investors such as Blockchange Venture, Three Arrows Capital, Lemniscap, Distributed Global, LAO, and Spartan Group LLC. Vara has achieved Proof of Authority and has a team of dozens of engineers and community members working on it. It has a pipeline of 40 projects and uses tokens for transaction fees, staking, governance, gas pools, and more. Block rewards are also being considered for distribution to developers.
