TRON Up is a real-time operating system kernel design aimed at creating an ideal computer architecture and network to cater to all of society's needs.

Architecture

TRON is a set of interfaces and design guidelines that allow different companies to create their own versions based on the specifications, which can be suited for various microprocessors. It defines a complete architecture for different computing units, including Industrial TRON (ITRON), Java TRON (JTRON), Business TRON (BTRON), Central and Communications TRON (CTRON), Macro TRON (MTRON), and Silicon TRON (STRON).

Sub-Architectures:

• Industrial TRON (ITRON): Used for real-time operating systems in embedded systems.
• Java TRON (JTRON): A sub-project of ITRON that allows the use of the Java platform.
• Business TRON (BTRON): For personal computers, workstations, PDAs, and human–machine interfaces in networks based on TRON.
• Central and Communications TRON (CTRON): For mainframe computers and digital switching equipment.
• Macro TRON (MTRON): For intercommunication between different TRON components.
• Silicon TRON (STRON): For hardware implementation of a real-time kernel.

Character Encoding

TRON employs its own multi-byte character encoding, TRON Code, which is similar to Unicode but handles each CJK character set separately, including archaic and historical equivalents of modern characters. This allows for mixed text without ambiguity regarding character forms.
