Algorithms
Unitus uses five independent algorithms: Argon2d, Skein, Lyra2RE2, X11, and Yescrypt. Each algorithm has its turn every five minutes, ensuring a 1-minute block time.
Merge Mining
Merge mining allows miners to mine a parent coin while contributing hash rate to Unitus, earning rewards from both without additional cost or overhead. This approach reduces environmental impact by not requiring additional power.
Fair Distribution
There is no pre-mine, ICO, or developer tax. Coins are distributed solely through mining rewards, with a gradual decline in block rewards.
Community-Driven
Unitus is a community-driven project without corporate backing, where volunteers contribute without pay.
