The Tower project's cryptocurrency symbol is TOWER. The project draws inspiration from Tatlin's Tower, a conceptual monument designed by Russian artist and architect Vladimir Tatlin. The monument was intended to serve as the headquarters and symbol of the Communist International, embodying the aspirations of the Soviet Union.

Design and Function

Tatlin's Tower was envisioned as a Constructivist-style structure, 400 meters tall, with a twin helix design. It would have been built using industrial materials such as iron, glass, and steel. The tower was to feature four suspended geometric structures that rotated at different rates, housing various functions:

• A cube at the base for lectures, conferences, and legislative meetings, rotating once a year.
• A pyramid for executive activities, rotating once a month.
• A cylinder serving as an information center, rotating once a day, and broadcasting news and messages.
• A hemisphere at the top for radio equipment.

The tower's design was heavily symbolic, representing the Soviet Union's ambition for modernity, technological progress, and ambitious outlook for the future. Each level's rotation rate was also symbolic, reflecting the pace of governance and information dissemination.

Symbolism and Legacy

Despite never being built due to material limitations in post-revolutionary Russia, Tatlin's Tower remains influential in architecture and art. It symbolized the Soviet Union's aspiration to be a world power, even if its construction was not feasible at the time. This paradox between ambition and capability has been noted and studied by art historians and theorists.
