Tokemak is a decentralized liquidity providing and market making protocol designed to create efficient and sustainable liquidity across DeFi (Decentralized Finance). The protocol uses its native token, TOKE, which serves as tokenized liquidity. This allows stakers to direct the protocol's Total Value Locked (TVL) as liquidity across various DeFi markets, including SushiSwap, Uniswap, Balancer, and 0x.

Key Components

• Liquidity Providers (LPs): LPs deposit their assets into single-sided pools called Token Reactors. This liquidity is then directed to DeFi exchanges via staking and voting by Liquidity Directors (LDs).
• Liquidity Directors (LDs): LDs stake TOKE to the Token Reactors and direct the liquidity to chosen trading venues, ensuring LPs' assets are protected from potential impermanent loss.

Mechanics

The protocol mitigates impermanent loss for LPs through surplus/deficit management, reserves, and TOKE staked as collateral. This ensures LPs can withdraw the same quantity of assets they initially deposited. The operational surplus is utilized to maintain the Protocol Overseen Assets (POA), which acts as the primary source of assets to be paid out in case of losses.

Tokemak aims to provide sustainable liquidity across DeFi while increasing Protocol Controlled Assets (PCA) and protecting LPs from impermanent loss. The protocol offers solutions for liquidity providers who want to avoid impermanent loss.
