Thunderhead Staked FLIP (STFLIP) is a liquid staking token for the Chainflip network. FLIP holders can stake any amount and start earning protocol rewards immediately. When stFLIP is minted, Thunderhead stakes the underlying native FLIP tokens onto validator nodes on the Chainflip network. The protocol rewards accrued by these validators are then distributed to stFLIP holders via a daily rebase mechanism.

The Thunderhead Staked FLIP infrastructure is designed with robustness and security in mind. It features real-time monitoring, automatic validator management, and validator backups to minimize downtime and ensure seamless performance. The project prioritizes security, employing full transparency, smart contract audits, and always maintaining a 1:1 backing with native FLIP.

Stakeholders can instantly redeem their stFLIP for FLIP or sell it on third-party DEXs. Users also have the option to earn swapping fees by providing liquidity. The ecosystem is built with the objective to open-source public goods for nascent blockchain ecosystems.
