The Employment Commons incentives program called $WORK Rewards aims to support independent workers and co-employ them through the ecosystem. Initially, it is only available to qualified US workers but plans to expand globally. The rewards system is designed as a Cooperative Patronage Rewards token to incentivize stakeholders in the Commons ecosystem, determining the amount of profits members are entitled to.
Members of the Commons are divided into two categories: Employee Members, who are the workers, and Coalition Members which includes persons, organizations, and DAOs providing referrals, technology, and services. Employee members further benefit from group purchasing power, shared profits, ownership in the network, and governance participation.
$WORK tokens are earned in several ways: payroll processing, employment benefits, shared services, direct referrals of new members, staking rewards, and more. The initiative plans to align economic incentives and enable Stakeholder Capitalism in a collectively-owned digital employment cooperative.
