Community Involvement
Teia DAO was officially registered as a DAO LLC, with a governance structure and smart contracts established by its working group. The project aims to create a fully community-owned marketplace on the Tezos blockchain, where members can contribute to decision-making through voting proposals using their TEIA tokens.
Token Distribution
The TEIA token distribution took place between August 20th and November 20th, 2023. Eligible wallets included those that used hicetnunc or Teia contracts, held hDAO tokens until a specific date, or actively contributed to Teia as volunteers. The tokens are distributed through the official token claim page on the Teia website. The distribution of these tokens marks a significant step towards transitioning the ownership of Teia DAO from its core team to the community of TEIA token holders.
Governance and Next Steps
Once the token claim period concludes, the DAO contracts will be deployed, allowing members to propose and vote on initiatives. The ultimate goal is to transfer the legal ownership of Teia DAO to its members, ensuring that the community has full control over the platform's future development.
