SuperRare

SuperRare is an Ethereum-based NFT marketplace where art enthusiasts can buy and sell unique digital art pieces created by whitelisted artists. The platform offers three ways to sell artworks: Auctions, Offers, and Buy Now list prices.

Selling Methods

• Auctions: There are two types of auctions: Scheduled Auctions and Reserve Auctions. Scheduled Auctions are set for a specific duration (1-7 days), and bidders cannot cancel their bids once placed. Reserve Auctions begin when the reserve price is met, starting a 24-hour countdown to the end of the auction. If a bid is placed within the last 15 minutes, the auction time is extended by 15 minutes.
• Offers: While under auction, artworks cannot receive open-ended offers. Artworks without an active auction can receive offers.
• Buy Now: Artworks can be bought at a fixed list price set by the seller.

Fees

• 3% marketplace fee paid by buyers goes to the SuperRare DAO Community Treasury.
• Primary sales (first-time sales): Artists get 85%, SuperRare DAO gets 15% of the sale amount.
• Secondary sales: Sellers get 90%, original artists get 10% of the sale amount.

Other Features

• Reserve Auctions can be combined with Buy Now list prices.
• The platform does not allow the buying and selling of artworks outside SuperRare to maintain artist royalty systems and terms.
• Scheduled Auctions and Reserve Auctions are managed by smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain.
