SmartMesh
SmartMesh is a blockchain-based underlying protocol for the Internet of Things (IoT) that enables smart devices to connect and form mesh networks without relying on internet or telecom services. The protocol uses blockchain light nodes and extends the Raiden and Lightning Networks' second-layer architecture to facilitate off-internet crypto-micropayments and transactions.
SmartMesh Network
- Mesh Network: A network infrastructure where each device acts as a data relay and data packets hop through the best path to reach their destination.
- Characteristics: Robust, Private, and Resilient.
SmartMesh Protocol
- Token Incentives: When data passes through a node, the contributor of that node is rewarded with a proportionate amount of the SMT token.
- Self-forming Networks: Users can form ad-hoc wireless mesh networks with multi-hop functionality, solving the 'last mile' problem by bridging gaps between nodes.
