The Six Sigma project is a Cosmos SDK-based layer-1 blockchain that utilizes its own native utility token, known as the SGE token. Designed to support applications that intersect blockchain, sports, gaming, and entertainment, the SGE Network takes advantage of the modular components, blockchain interoperability, and minimal gas fees of the Cosmos-based design to engage users in novel ways. Custom Modules
To support the necessary functions for a betting application, two custom modules were created:
- Betting Module: Allows users to make smart contract-based bets using SGE tokens that are locked.
- Token Transfer Module: Permits the transfer of locked tokens within the SGE environment.
Sports Betting Application
The current application, accessible at www.sixsigmasports.io, is a decentralized sports betting platform that enables users to either make bets using SGE tokens for ongoing sporting events or use their SGE to backstop liquidity needed for the house. Odds are determined via multiple APIs, and various bet types are available for each event.
