Secret Finance (SEFI) is the governance token for the decentralized protocol SecretSwap and the broader Secret Network DeFi ecosystem. By earning SEFI, users can participate in shaping the future of Secret Network's front-running resistant and privacy-first financial system.
SecretSwap Protocol
SecretSwap is a decentralized protocol built to facilitate the creation of liquidity and the trading of SNIP-20 tokens on Secret Network. It leverages privacy-preserving smart contracts to protect users from front-running threats and privacy violations. Additionally, it provides access to cross-chain liquidity and reduces fees compared to Ethereum.
Governance Token
SEFI is an application layer governance token designed to regulate parameters specific to SecretSwap, manage developer fund spending, and implement application-related changes. It operates separately from SCRT, the native governance token of the Secret Network protocol layer.
Token Details
Secret Finance has a total supply of 1 billion SEFI tokens, with a maximum supply capped at the same amount. The circulating supply is self-reported. SEFI tokens were initially distributed in a one-time genesis event, with continued distribution to SecretSwap users as rewards for staking and providing liquidity over four years. The token supply is non-inflationary.
