Key Features

• Interest-Free: There is no interest for the minted btUSD, regardless of how long the collateralized position is held.
• Efficient Liquidation: btUSD holders can deposit into a stability pool to provide an offset reserve for liquidation and earn liquidated collateral plus SATO tokens in return.
• Guaranteed Low Bound: When btUSD is traded below the $1 peg, any btUSD holder can redeem 1 btUSD for $1 worth of collateral from the system, providing an effective support for restoring the peg.
• Immutable: All protocol parameters are determined at the time of contract deployment, and no admin or DAO can change the values or upgrade the contracts.
• Decentralization-First: Anyone can host a frontend user interface to diversify adoption and provide censorship resistance.

Collateralization Ratio

The minimum allowed collateral value ratio to mint btUSD is 110%, meaning you need to collateralize at least $1.10 of BTCB to mint $1 of btUSD.
