SafeCoin is a Proof of Stake (PoS) blockchain network based on the Solana code base. It is designed with security and privacy in mind and is known for its energy efficiency, scalability, and affordability. SafeCoin was launched in early 2018 with a pre-mine of four million coins and a maximum supply of 36 million coins.
Key Features:
- Speed: Processes an incredible 65,000+ transactions per second thanks to Solana's unique multithreaded architecture and Proof of History protocol.
- Energy Efficiency: Uses only approximately 0.00000025 kWh per transaction.
- Accessible: Allows nearly anyone to run their own validator and participate in the network, promoting decentralization.
- Affordable: Transaction fees are significantly less, currently set at 0.0001 SAFE.
- Private: No ICO (Initial Coin Offering), IEO (Initial Exchange Offering), or initial sales offerings; personal details are not required.
Development Roadmap:
The project has implemented features such as SafeBridge Testnet and SafeSwap Testnet. Future plans include releasing SafeChat 2.0, improved Proof-of-History algorithms, and integration with other blockchain networks like Binance Smart Chain and Avalanche.
