Restake Finance is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) built on the EigenLayer. It aims to maximize on-chain rewards through its liquid restaking token, rstETH. The protocol allows users to earn Ethereum staking rewards and EigenLayer native rewards without locking assets or managing staking infrastructure.
Users can restake their liquid staking tokens through the protocol, depositing them into DAO-controlled smart contracts. In return, they receive rstETH, a tokenized version of their EigenLayer contributions. The rstETH tokens are decentralized and fully backed by the underlying liquid staking tokens.
The protocol is governed by the Restake Finance DAO, which uses the utility and governance token RSTK. The DAO ensures that the project aligns with the interests of its stakeholders and aims to accrue value to token holders through governance and yield generation. The system applies a fee on all EigenLayer restaking rewards, which is shared with RSTK token holders.
