Renzo Restaked ETH
Renzo Restaked ETH, denoted by the symbol EZETH, is a liquid restaking token based on the EigenLayer ecosystem. Each EZETH represents a user’s restaked position in Ethereum, which is staked with a validator and then restaked with EigenLayer. This setup allows users to earn rewards through restaking while maintaining their ETH as collateral.
The Renzo protocol acts as an interface to EigenLayer, simplifying the staking and restaking process for users. By depositing ETH or liquid staking tokens (LSTs) into Renzo, users can access EigenLayer restaking services and earn additional rewards. The protocol combines Ethereum smart contracts and node operations to optimize risk/reward strategies for users.
Renzo operates on top of EigenLayer, abstracting away its complexity. EigenLayer focuses on improving the efficiency of staked assets by deploying actively validated services (AVSs), which are decentralized services that inherit Ethereum’s security via EigenLayer.
