pSTAKE is a liquid staking protocol allowing Proof-of-Stake (PoS) token holders to deposit tokens onto the pSTAKE platform, which then mints pegged ERC-20 tokens (pTOKENs). Users can also stake these deposited PoS tokens, creating 1:1 wrapped ERC-20 staked tokens (stkTOKENs). These can accrue staking rewards in the form of pTOKENs. Users can use stkTOKENs across different DeFi platforms to earn additional yields on top of their staking rewards. The example given demonstrates that a user could deposit 100 ATOM tokens on the pSTAKE platform, stake them on the platform to earn staking rewards, and then provide liquidity to a stkATOM-ETH pool on SushiSwap to generate even further yield, leveraging the pSTAKE technology for additional income.
