Project Overview
Promethios is a project focused on creating a Multichain Stable Unit of Account, particularly designed for use in Gamefi and On-chain Marketplaces. This stable unit, known as FIRE, uses a rebasing mechanism to maintain a stable value without being a stablecoin. Rebasing involves simultaneously changing the token supply in pools and wallets to achieve a target price without affecting the overall market capitalization or purchasing power.
Unique Features
FIRE's rebasing mechanism allows it to offer the benefits of a Stable Unit of Account while still being able to adjust its value. Additionally, FIRE supports cross-chain rebasing for increased flexibility.
History
Promethios launched in late May 2023 with initial listings on Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Optimism. It has since airdropped a large portion of its supply to the community.
Founding Team
Promethios was founded by Van Ghoul (xGhoul0x), one of the founders of Based.Money from Defi Summer in 2020.
Future Development
The project is focused on growing its community and supported projects. This includes integrating a mechanism to share profits with token holders and partner projects.
Token Usage
The token FIRE is the core product of Promethios. It can be used in participating projects and partnerships that integrate FIRE and its community.
