Polars
Polars is a DeFi platform built on the concept of polar tokens, which comprise two opposing tokens (e.g., WHITE and BLACK). The key characteristic of these tokens is that if the price of one token (WHITE) rises, the price of the other token (BLACK) falls by the same amount, and vice versa. The aggregate price of the two polar tokens remains constant. The growth or decline of a particular token is influenced by the outcomes of real-world events such as sports competitions, exchange rates, politics, and other events with opposing sides.
On the Polars platform, users can engage in various activities like making bets, trading, arbitrage, and liquidity provision to the Trade Pool. Additionally, users are rewarded for creating trading volume and for the trading volume of their invited referrals. To add liquidity, users need to purchase both WHITE and BLACK tokens for the same amount, which can then be added to the Trade Pool. In return, the liquidity provider receives Polars Trade Pool Tokens (PTPT) reflecting their weight in the Trade Pool’s liquidity.
