Pluto is an innovative reserve currency design, functioning as a financial instrument that provides long-term and planned growth in the market price of an asset. It is designed to be resistant to bear markets, ensuring sustainable storage of funds on the blockchain.
Treasury and Collateral
The collateral for Pluto tokens is managed by the Treasury, where parameters are controlled through voting and can also adjust automatically based on market conditions. The Treasury growth is driven by the funds of PLUTO users, who can define this growth via the PLUTO release mechanism. The mechanism ensures that the Treasury is spent only when the PLUTO token price falls below the backed price, maintaining a floor for the market price.
Key Parameters
- Total Supply: The number of PLUTO tokens issued.
- Treasury Value: The equivalent value of assets in the Treasury in stablecoins.
- Backed Price (Min Price): The minimum price of a PLUTO token, calculated by dividing the Treasury Value by the Total Supply.
- Market Price: The actual price of a PLUTO token on the market.
- Max Price: The maximum potential price of a PLUTO token, calculated by multiplying the Backed Price by a factor (default value: 3).
- Growth Factor: A measure of the correlation between the market price and the backed price, calculated by dividing the Market Price by the Backed Price.
Operations
- Automatic Buyback: A mechanism that stimulates buying pressure when the Growth Factor is low by allocating a portion of onboarding funds for buying back PLUTO tokens from the market.
- PLUTO Release Mechanism: A system that empowers users to influence Treasury growth, ensuring the market price remains above the backed price.
- Project Development Fund: Established to support ongoing improvement of Pluto, this fund receives a percentage of onboarding fees, which are then staked and backed.
