This process is known as seigniorage, where the difference between the cost to produce money and its current value creates profit. Governments and corporations profit significantly through seigniorage, and Peak Finance aims to allow users to participate and profit from this process. For any asset to have value, it must be pegged to another asset of value, and Peak Finance has chosen to peg to $METIS.
