Paralink Network is a multi-chain oracle platform designed for modern cross-chain applications built on Polkadot. It addresses the oracle problem in blockchain technology, which limits the scope of use cases for blockchain applications. By providing real-world data ingress, Paralink enables these applications to access data from various external sources, including SQL databases, web APIs, websites, and other blockchains.
Paralink achieves this through its Paralink Query Language (PQL) which defines the Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) process executed by Paralink Nodes. The platform integrates with key smart contract platforms such as Plasm, Moonbeam, Edgeware, and Darwinia, enhancing its functionality.
The core features of Paralink include Oracle Feeds, which allows other chains to continuously receive external data updates via the Paralink Node oracle service. This enables seamless communication between chains and supports a wide range of use cases from prediction markets to governance and litigation.
As a decentralized oracle platform, Paralink incorporates a consensus layer built using Polkadot’s Substrate, ensuring cross-chain interoperability and scalability. The Paralink token, PARA, serves as both an incentive and governance token, allowing users to participate in staking and governance processes.
