The Oxygen Protocol is designed as a decentralized financial infrastructure to democratize borrowing and lending. It aims to make these processes more efficient for all participants by providing users with tools to earn yield on lent funds, borrow assets from pools, trade directly from pools, and access more complex products leveraging pooled assets as collateral.

OXY token holders benefit from protocol usage fees and trading fees through a token buy and burn mechanism. They also have the opportunity to engage in governance decisions, reducing protocol usage fees for themselves and others. The token's utility and rewards include network fees, trading fees, and liquidation fees, all contributing to the Oxygen Protocol's operation and revenue generation.

The total supply of OXY tokens is set at 10 billion, which will decrease through the buy and burn process utilizing 100% of the protocol fees. The token distribution is divided among community funds, product and technology growth, the team, private sales, partners, and initial exchange offerings (IEO).
