Ouro Governance Share (OGS) is an essential component of the Ouro ecosystem, focusing on creating an inflation-proof store of value system on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC). This system employs Peer-to-Pool asset swaps.
Mechanisms
- Stability Mechanism: Ouro utilizes an arbitrage-based stability mechanism. When assets in the Reserve Pool appreciate, up to 30% of the excess value is reserved for an increase in OURO’s Default Exchange Price.
- Community Governance: OGS plays a vital role in community governance within Ouro.

Yield Distribution:
- Yield generated from Reserve Pool assets is used to improve liquidity for OGS trading pairs and conduct OGS token burns.
- When Reserve Pool assets appreciate, at least 70% of the excess value is used for token burns and forming the Insurance Pool.
- New Token Minting: New OGS tokens are minted when the Reserve Pool lacks sufficient assets to acquire collateral or maintain a 1-1 peg with issued OURO.
- Backed Issuance: All OURO issued are backed by crypto assets in a 1-1 fashion, ensuring no price fluctuation concerns.
