Octopus Network is a cryptonetwork designed for launching and running Web3.0 application-specific blockchains, known as appchains. The network aims to decrease the capital expenditure required to bootstrap an appchain by 100 times, reducing it from several million dollars to less than one hundred thousand dollars. This reduction in cost is intended to drive innovation in Web3.0.

Token Distribution
The OCT token distribution includes the following:

Angel Round: 6% of the tokens, which will be unlocked linearly over a period of three years after the token generation event (TGE).

Seed Round: 15% of the tokens, which will be fully unlocked at TGE.

A Round: 12.5% of the tokens, which will be fully unlocked at TGE.

OCT is an NEP141 token on the NEAR protocol, which is the equivalent of the ERC-20 standard. Its primary functions include collateral for appchain security, a staking mechanism for validators, and a means of penalizing malicious behavior.
