NFTY is a DeFi utility token that aims to introduce a new layer of reputation to NFT auctions through gamified staking and farming processes. It uses a system of rewards and incentives taken from a portion (7.5%) of the final payout of auctions that use the NFTY protocol. These rewards are then shared with "endorsers" relative to their token allocation to endorsed auctions. The endorsed auctions are chosen based on factors like likelihood of sale completion, potential payout amount, quality of the NFT, and current endorsements from other advocates. Rewards are shared proportionally to each advocate's stake and "social power". Tokens allocated in an auction are locked until the completion of that auction, after which they can be unstaked. Moreover, NFTY aims to discourage the endorsement of low-quality or fraudulent listings. The NFTY token supply has no upper limit, but its growth rate is controlled through a fixed annual staking yield. Advocates must stake their tokens to engage in the endorsement mechanism.
