Lending and Borrowing
The protocol is designed to allow for seamless and trustless deal execution, with a streamlined process from quote to settlement. It includes a low-cost, high-speed peer-to-peer marketplace where users can create and browse through hundreds of loan offers. This allows users to customize their loans and have greater control over the terms.
IKARUS Protocol
The IKARUS protocol is a key component of MYSO Finance, which uses a decentralized exchange (DEX) architecture. This means that for every cryptocurrency pair, an individual borrowing market and liquidity pool can be created. Liquidity providers (LPs) can fund each market by providing both assets of the associated pair, while borrowers can borrow one asset after posting the other as collateral.
Characteristics
A notable feature of the IKARUS protocol is that it is oracle-independent. This means that repayment and settlement of loans happen due to incentives rather than relying on external price information. This design aims to mitigate risks associated with Oracle dependency and serial liquidation in on-chain credit markets.
