Myriadcoin is a cryptocurrency that utilizes five different Proof-of-Work hashing algorithms, which include Scrypt, SHA256D, Qubit, Skein, and Groestl. The use of multiple algorithms aims to make mining more accessible and fair, allowing any CPU, GPU, or ASIC miner to be used. The algorithms operate independently, each with its own difficulty adjustment method, targeting a block generation time of 2.5 minutes. This results in an average block find time of 30 seconds across all five algorithms.
The block reward mechanism halves every 967,680 blocks to reduce inflation. The difficulty is adjusted after every block.
