MonkeyLeague is the next-gen esports metaverse that enables players to Create, Play, Compete, and Earn. It combines high-production-value, multiplayer gaming with Solana blockchain, NFTs, and decentralized finance to deliver an exciting, turn-based, play-to-earn soccer game that’s easy to learn yet hard to master.

Gameplay

MonkeyLeague is a fast-paced, turn-based, play-to-earn arcade soccer game where players construct their ideal Monkey League squad consisting of four monkeys who cover the positions of striker, midfielder, defender, and goalkeeper. Each monkey possesses intrinsic characteristics that enable it to perform better in an individual capacity. Matches are contested between two teams, and last 12 rounds — 6 rounds per half, with each team taking the field twice. A game is considered complete after both teams have completed their turns. Each unit has three actions available to them throughout their turn — moving a player, dribbling, passing, or shooting the ball, or performing a Special Move. Each round ends when a player has completed their activities or has hit the “End Turn” button.

MonkeyPlayers

Each Monkey NFT possesses both collectible and practical value, with a unique DNA consisting of 32 traits made according to their appearance, game skills, and game perks. The rarity of each NFT is determined by the limited number of Monkey NFTs available, with a total of 2.5 trillion possible permutations. MonkeyPlayers have core game skills such as Passing, Control, Accuracy, and Defense, with current and potential level stats that can be improved upon. They also have twelve Perks or boosters that activate during gameplay. The attributes and skills of each monkey are compared against those of the opposing players, determining the success of actions.

Stadiums

The stadium is the “land” form of the game, serving as a location for tournaments, games, and other special events. Stadium owners can benefit from these events by collecting Monkey League fees as compensation.

Breeding System

The breeding feature allows Monkey NFT holders to breed their NFTs together to create new MonkeyPlayer NFTs. With the breeding feature, players expand their teams, create new teams, and trade their monkeys. The Breeding feature is represented with seasons or themes and rewards participants with limited edition features in their newly generated MonkeyPlayers. Each new monkey receives about 30% of the attributes from each “parent,” and the remaining third is randomly assigned.

Token and Economy

MonkeyLeague uses the MBS token, with an initial supply of 1,000,000,000 units. The token can be staked via Raydium to earn rewards. The game features a play-to-earn concept with opportunities for gamers to earn in-game rewards and trade their NFTs and tokens.
