Monero-Classic (XMC) is a hard fork of Monero (XMR) that was announced on 29th March. It is part of the protocol of Monero to hard-fork every 6 months, and on the 6th April there were changes such as resistance to Cryptonight ASIC miners. 4 different entities created versions of Monero that still support ASIC miners, including Monero-Classic (XMC). PZ, an early Bitcoin evangelist and blockchain eco builder organized Litecoin and Bitcoin International Round Table Forums and has identified the issue of the hard-fork with the emergence of specialized mining machines. He believes that the two ideas of embracing or rejecting ASIC mining machines should both be given equal opportunities for development. There is a XMC wallet GUI for Windows available.
