The Stibnite Gold Project, located near McMullen in Idaho, is one of the highest-grade gold deposits in the United States. It is designed to apply modern, responsible mining practices to restore the site and produce gold and antimony, a critical mineral. The project is intended to provide the resources necessary to fund the cleanup and restoration of the abandoned mining district.
In February 2021, Midas Gold announced a name change to Perpetua Resources Corp., inspired by Idaho’s state motto, “Esto Perpetua” (let it be perpetual). The company also gained approval for listing on the Nasdaq Stock Market under the symbol "PPTA" and updated the name of its subsidiary to Perpetua Resources Idaho, Inc. This change reflected the company’s commitment to sustainable development and environmental stewardship.
