Meta (MTA) is the protocol token for mStable, a decentralized and non-custodial stablecoin ecosystem. It serves three primary functions:
Decentralized Governance Coordination
MTA facilitates the coordination of decentralized governance by enabling users to participate in the decision-making process. Users can stake MTA and vote on proposals, thereby becoming Meta Governors.
mAsset Liquidity, Utility, and Community Bootstrapping
MTA incentivizes the bootstrapping of mAsset liquidity and utility by empowering a decentralized community of Governors. This fosters a robust ecosystem where users can trade and earn yield on stablecoins.
Re-collateralization Source
MTA acts as the ultimate source of re-collateralization for the protocol if implemented in the future and approved by Governors.
By holding MTA, users can participate in governance and earn staking rewards, contributing to the overall development and growth of the mStable ecosystem.
