The MAD Network is a decentralized system designed to connect all stakeholders in the adtech value chain by using blockchain technology, aiming to bring transparency and efficiency to the ad tech industry. It is not operated by a central party but by decentralized miners that ensure constant advertisement delivery. This network eliminates the need for a middleman, traditionally capturing 60% of the ad dollar spent.

MAD Network includes MADnet Books, a decentralized payment rail allowing advertisers to stake insertion orders, opening a tokenized marketplace for exchanging ad impression value. MADnet Core is the next layer, serving as a decentralized ad server and exchange, which uses a proof-of-real-work algorithm to find the best ad match. MADnet Data is a decentralized data management platform that captures data from MAD Network's use and enables peer-to-peer data exchange.

The workflow involves advertisers creating insertion orders on MADnet Books, which sends the ad requests info to MADnet Core. Then, ad-serving miners compete to find the best possible match. Lastly, smart contracts pay publishers and miners as the ad plays in near-real-time.
