Overview
The Lybra Protocol is a decentralized platform utilizing Liquid Staking Derivatives (LSD) for maintaining a stablecoin called eUSD. It relies on Lido Finance-issued ETH and stETH, with plans to support additional LSD assets in the future. Users can borrow against deposited ETH and stETH to mint eUSD, providing a stable and secure asset for transactions.
Governance
The Lybra Protocol is managed by people worldwide who hold its native governance token, LBR. LBR holders participate in governance and voting while sharing the protocol's revenue. stLBR (staked) holders engage in governance and decision-making processes, distributing earnings among stakeholders.
Tokenomics
LBR is an ERC-20 governance token with a maximum supply of 100,000,000. Token allocation includes mining pools, ecosystem incentives, protocol treasury, team, IDO, advisors, LP reserve, and institutional reserves. V2 tokenomics introduce an Institutional Reserve, enhancing flexibility for future growth.
Utility
LBR tokens can be obtained through minting eUSD, participating in the IDO, or becoming an eUSD/ETH Liquidity Provider. The Lybra Protocol charges a service fee on circulating eUSD, and stETH income is distributed among eUSD holders. Real-yield service fees are allocated to the LBR Staking Pool, providing a stable income to staked LBR holders.
Interoperability
LBR is integrated with LayerZero, enabling secure and efficient interoperability across supported blockchains without liquidity restrictions.
