• Loot is an NFT project released by Dom Hoffman, who previously created the social media app Vine. There are 8,000 NFTs in this Loot series.
• New NFT Framework: Loot’s innovative approach lies in its unbundling of NFTs into individual parts that can be repurposed for various use-cases. It flips traditional methods by providing a blank canvas, allowing community to build and set direction rather than having a predetermined approach.
• Fair Launch: Loot had a fair launch where all participants had to pay for gas to mint, without a traditional website containing a mint button. This required interacting directly with Loot’s smart contract.
• Decentralized Governance: Loot community members have set up a governance structure for Loot and AGLD holders to coordinate and vote on proposals to bring Loot forward. Loot holders can vote on governance decisions and directions of in-game development.
• AGLD: Adventure Gold is Loot’s native token, used for transactions, governance, and traded. Each Loot bag is valued at 10,000 AGLD tokens.
• Execute and Build: Loot allows community members to build on top of this open-source project through its use of smart contracts and blockchain technology. The project is open, allowing creators to contribute and shape its direction.
• Ethereum and Smart Contracts: Loot is built on the Ethereum blockchain and uses smart contracts to ensure transactions are secure and without interference. Smart contracts contain the rules and essential principles of the Lootverse world.
• Minting NFTs: Users can mint NFTs from Loot’s smart contracts without a traditional website. This involves referencing the "Write" portion on a block explorer, connecting one’s wallet, and paying the cost of the derivative.
