The LOCUS Chain aims to be the most widely used next-generation layer 1 public blockchain protocol, offering full decentralization and scalability. It is geared to support various applications including in Decentralized Finance, gaming, metaverses, smart cities, and Central Bank Digital Currencies. Its token, LOCUS, is currently an Ethereum-based ERC20 token but will soon support 1-to-1 atomic swaps to the Locus Chain mainnet. The LOCUS ecosystem consists of top developers and business partners, creating business opportunities in a range of sectors. The LOCUS technology utilizes DAG (Directed Acyclic Graph) - AWTC (Account-Wise Transaction Chain), which provides a central data structure for high-capacity, distributed transaction processing. Other features include POS - BFT Consensus Algorithm, Verifiable Pruning, and Dynamic Sharding. The key development members of the Locus Chain were developers of Korea's first commercial game engine, the Blueside Engine.
