Overview
LITEX is a fully decentralized cryptocurrency payment ecosystem designed to enable secure and efficient transactions between consumers and merchants. The ecosystem is built on the business model of Epro's "Non-bank card payment" and the BOLT protocol.
Architecture
The LITEX architecture consists of two layers:
- Decision network (upper layer): Matches the consumer's payment request and the purchaser's purchase request, ensuring efficient and secure transactions.
- Lightning network (lower layer): Establishes a safe and efficient payment channel to transfer cryptocurrency.
Payment Process
The payment process involves the following steps:
- The consumer initiates a payment request via an e-wallet compatible with LITEX.
- The request is transmitted to LTXN, where it is matched with the exchanger's request using a matching algorithm.
- The exchanger settles the transaction with the merchant using fiat money.
- The acquirer confirms the payment and sends a payment routing token (R) to the exchanger.
- The exchanger receives the R and sends it back to LTXN, which then transfers the corresponding amount in cryptocurrency to the exchanger.
- Finally, the R is returned to the consumer, and they verify its authenticity.
