Kokoa Finance is the inaugural crypto-asset-backed stablecoin platform for the Klaytn blockchain. It utilizes two tokens, KSD and KOKOA. KSD is a decentralized stablecoin secured by collateralizing cryptocurrency assets, while KOKOA serves as a governance token for KokoaDAO, a decentralized organization aimed at managing the stability of the KSD monetary system. The platform uses a "Flash Mint" mechanism to let users generate leveraged positions. Price stability of the KSD is maintained through continuous monitoring of multiple types of collateral in vaults, and by charging a stability fee. The adjustment of KSD supply and demand based on monitoring results helps to maintain its peg to the USD. KokoaFarm Labs also launched i4i, a StableSwap DEX expected to help stabilize KSD prices in the short term.
