Features of Kepple
Kepple aims to become an all-in-one Layer 2 cryptocurrency solution for social media networks. It enables Web3 functionality on platforms like Twitter, shifting them from Web2 to Web3.
Key Changes
From Q4 2022 to 2023, Kepple made significant changes, including migrating from the NEO blockchain to the BNB Chain to improve scalability and reduce gas fees. It also switched from a dual-consensus mechanism (Delegated Proof-of-Stake and Proof-of-Work) to Proof-of-Stake (PoS).
Token and Consensus Mechanism
The Kepple token, previously known as QLC, will be fully swapped to KPL at a 1:1 ratio. The PoS consensus mechanism requires staking KPL to participate in block creation and minting. KPL is also a reward token for mining and is used for community rewards, social media oracles, and other features.
User Engagement and Governance
Kepple allows users to reward followers with crypto assets for completing tasks. KPL holders have voting rights and participate in governance as part of the Kepple Decentralised Autonomous Organization (KeppleDAO).
