Turgut Isık, founder of Isıklar Holding A.S., was born in Bartın, Turkey in 1932. After working in his father and grandfather's companies, he established Isıklar Collective Company in 1952. He took over when his father passed away and went on to establish various companies and factories, including the Isıklar Limited Company, Bartın Brick factory and the Isıklar Maritime Group. He later entered the construction and contracting sectors. In 1974, all of his companies were consolidated under Isıklar Holding A.S. Prior to his death in 1990, he began work on establishing a health and education foundation. In 2019, Isıklar Holding ventured into blockchain technology, creating its own coin, the Isiklar Coin (ISIKC), an affiliate-based utility token created by Isiklar Coin Bulgaria LTD. The idea behind ISIKC is a customer loyalty program that leverages blockchain technology.
