USDi is an over-collateralized stablecoin issued by Interest Protocol (IP), a fractional reserve banking protocol on the Ethereum blockchain which pays interest to all depositors. Interest on USDi is gained automatically, without the need for gas to stake. USDi can be obtained by depositing USDC into the protocol and borrowed against collateral in a multi-collateral vault. The reserve ratio of the protocol is managed automatically, adjusting borrow and deposit rates as it changes. Issued by GFX Labs, USDi doesn't have a predetermined total supply. It can be either minted 1:1 by depositing USDC on IP or bought on Uniswap.
