Immortal is a decentralized reserve currency protocol on the Celo blockchain using the IMMO token. Each IMMO token is backed by a range of assets, providing it with a minimum value. Immortal uses staking and bonding to introduce unique dynamics into the market. ImmortalDAO aims to become a stable cryptocurrency within the Celo ecosystem, functioning similarly to a central bank by using reserve assets to manage the price of its currency. Unlike traditional stablecoins, IMMO is backed by value but doesn't maintain a fixed price. Its mechanism is similar to the FEI protocol, except its token is allowed to fluctuate in value. IMMO is also used for staking, bonding, and governance votes on their decentralized application.
