Holdr is a multi-token automated market maker (AMM) operating on the Aurora Chain, acting as a self-balancing weighted portfolio protocol. It lets anyone create or add liquidity to customizable pools and gain trading fees. It models index funds' idea of regularly reallocating assets based on price and returns. Holdr's operation is more efficient and cost-effective than hiring a portfolio manager as it utilizes smart contracts.
The paradigm features three types of pools: Weighted Pools, allowing various token counts and weightings; Stable Pools, which cater to assets expected to trade at near parity; and Boosted Pools, offering deep stablecoin liquidity with near-parity rates for Swappers and sending Liquidity Providers' positions to external protocols like Bastion.
The total supply of HLDR tokens is set at 100 million, divided into specific allocations: 5% to Balancer (with 4% going to the Balancer DAO Treasury and 1% as an airdrop to BAL holders), and 15% to Solace DAO, awarded across several entities for continued work and Holdr protocol support.
