Hepton is a Layer-3 infrastructure project that provides scaling solutions for the Ethereum network, leveraging two different technologies - Hepton PoS, a sidechain to Ethereum, and Layer-3 network-based ZK-Rollup technology on top of Arbitrum Orbit. The native utility token, HTE, is used for transaction fees, running validator nodes, and governance votes on resource allocation. The founders of Hepton are Kay Hakimie, Emre Aslan, and Ismail Abinting, who met in 2020 and decided to create a decentralized protocol in 2022. Hepton Labs, the team behind Hepton, is supported by more than 10 developers and has been incubated by the Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation and IceTea Labs. Furthermore, Amazon AWS Activate nominated Hepton Labs for a Server Grant to support the Hepton PoS at its early stage.
