Hatom has created an ecosystem within MultiversX dedicated to DeFi products, such as a lending and borrowing protocol, liquid staking, a stablecoin, and lending as a service. They strive to make these services secure, transparent, and easy to use in order to promote scalability and security. The Liquid Staking module attracts participants to the network by providing liquidity for staked collateral, which also increases the value locked in and security of the network. sEGLD tokens are issued in exchange for staking, which are pegged to EGLD and will increase in value. These tokens are able to be redeemed for EGLD at any time without the need for unbonding.
